Sometimes in life you allow yourself to open your eyes and realise who around you is good for you and who around you isn't. Then it's just a matter of knowing, then, what to do with that information. Whether or not you wish to continue letting those around you be exposed to the horrid ones, be a hero and break it off or quietly suffer alone knowing that these individuals would eventually destroy you.

I am one of the few people whom, on occasion, choose to break ties as soon as possible because I value my sanity and health in the long-run. This has also given me an uncanny ability to judge whether a person is genuinely nice or not, barring other character flaws. I see the hearts of people. I see their humanity and I'd like to say that those I've stuck with for so many years are the most wonderful people I have had the honour to get to know.
