I've only been posting ranty angry posts in the last few so here's a happy one!

Updates on The Legless Adventures!

Previously I'd said that The Legless Adventures will start in 2017. I think it's a better idea to have it start in 2016 because I can't hold an idea for too long before it gets rotten haha.

Also, it doesn't matter who I'm travelling with because they will already be assisting me, the trick now is documentation! This is also great because I can use said documentation on my dive trips.

Tangent: Also spur of the moment thought about The Care & Maintenance Of Your Sha... It's really a very hilarious biography. Now that I think of it that way, it'll be easier to figure out how the chapters are going to be. Also to include 'pro-tips' and illustrations.

(Illustration example: comparison chart between average human female and Sha. Average human female muscle anatomy with correct musculature labels and Sha's muscle anatomy with labels on all muscles saying SMA3 except for brain which shows 'sometimes asshole-like' and heart showing 'stone'.)

Anyway, we are now looking at the XiaomiYiCamera because I cbf buying a gopro just to have it get lost. hahahahaha

I really can't complain about the life I have because I have a roof over my head, food on the table, I don't want for needs and my family unit is intact.

BUT that doesn't mean I am obliged to be in a good mood 100% of the time. I'm never in a good mood, I'm just really good at lying to general society. I hate most people and being a nihilist, alive is really just a race to being very, very, VERY dead.

Sorry, kids. When you die, you just die. You're not a special snowflake who was born to be a messiah. You're in my way and you should get a move on quickly. Just be a socially acceptable human being to the best of your ability and try not to murder anyone.

'Why?' is a question I always ask yet nobody has given me an absolute answer.

Let's just say today's main bulk of this post will go into the personal journal and the only other update is a link that's making me quite annoyed. But I'm on the rag so anything and everything is going to make me quite annoyed. Hell, I'm annoyed right now.

Here's the offending link.
http://www.elephantjournal.com/2015/08/to-the-women-who-are-never-the-one/

Now, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just annoyed that society has, yet again, made it the utmost importance that we all mosey along our lives, expand ridiculous amounts of energy to find 'the one' and pair up. Might I stress that, yes, it is our genetic imperative -- being a part of an evolutionary species -- to procreate. I get that. BUT why make up some mumbo jumbo about there being any one particular person for another one particular person? Bit shit.

Eugh. Also had a really bad meal. What a crap night.

... Alright, everything's been unloaded. Time for some games.

To make your night (or whenever you're reading this) infinitely more entertaining, do google Samurai Crab and Fried Egg Jellyfish.

On a more less amused note:

"Do one new thing every day!"
Okay, sure. But I also have a few things to add that is non negotiable.

I need the activity to be wheelchair friendly.
I need the activity to be mentally stimulating.
I need the activity to be easy to get to.
I need the activity to be available when I am.
Also, I would probably need an entourage.

Yes, life isn't as easy as walking out the door for some of us so be thankful for everything you have and don't be a prick about it.

Also, also, my phone decided to take a swim so I'm now on the hunt for a replacement phone.

I few thoughtful ideas before I away to bed this cool and wet Monday night. But before that, a list of thanks for today:

- Thanks for having an entertaining family.
- Thanks for a great dinner.
- Thanks for great friends, great company.
- Thanks for life.

So I've had a few ideas while going around doing life things today (and maybe some were thought up yesterday) so I'm just going to list them out and then maybe explain them a bit...

If I had a stand-up comedy routine it'll have to be called 'If The Shoe Fits' because it'll offend A LOT of people... But only if the shoe fits. START DATE: I'm not a comedian.

I've been wanting to do a podcast for years but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet because I simply cannot be bothered. I have a few ideas on topics which include cold readings for submitted scripts -- kind of like a radio novella, Smart chats on love, life, politics and money over food and just new music discovery.  START DATE: Soon?

The Legless Adventure. Where I, a cameraperson, and one other person will embark on a round-the-world trip to experience travel on a budget as a person with disabilities. An experience with all the hardships of being a PWD. To be published as a Vlog with a sister Blog which features recipes and other secret bonus content. START DATE: April 16 2017-ish.

Sha's 35th Birthday Roast. When I turn 35 I'd like my closest and dearest 10 to go on stage and tell hilarious anecdotes about my life. I want to be made fun of, to be the butt of jokes. And then, after they've had their fun, Imake fun of them. START DATE: 35th Birthday

...
...
... Also, also, when you realise your jokes and references are too highbrow for your friends.
*cries internally*

On Monday, the 26th of July 2015, about a day after a holiday in Bali, I had decided to start changing my habits. Exercise and good sleeping habits were to be implemented. It started with waking up at 7:30AM every day.

It's now been seven days and I'm slowly getting into the habit, albeit becoming a morning person after 28 years of being a late night owl is ridiculous. I wish I was a cat.

Monday, July 27, 2015

"Look at yourselves. Some of you teenagers, students. How do you think I feel and I belong to a generation ahead of you - how do you think I feel to have to tell you, 'We, my generation, sat around like a knot on a wall while the whole world was fighting for its human rights - and you've got to be born into a society where you still have that same fight.' What did we do, who preceded you? I'll tell you what we did. Nothing. And don't you make the same mistake we made..."
-Malcolm X

I like this quote very much. It reminds me to fight. To move. To be brave. To want change. To make change.

Nobody has solutions but everyone's a critic. If I don't start then who will?

I do believe my post on how to retort to people who throw religion upon you is... gone. I don't know how. So here's a re-cap!

Verses in the Quran that you can spurt to shut up holier-than-thou comments:

Numberrrrrrrr 3:

Surah Ghafir, Ayat 20 (40:20)

And Allah judges with truth, while those they invoke besides Him judge not with anything. Indeed, Allah - He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

Numero 2:

Surah Al-Hujurat, Ayat 11 (49:11)

O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

NUUMBER OOOOOONE:

Surah At-Tin, Ayat 8 (95:8)

أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ

Is not Allah the best of all Judges?

Aaaaaaanyway,

Hello, internetizens, for another dose of... me. Haha.

Apparently an hour of reading your chosen field a day will make you some kind of expert within a few years. I could try it out but what I really need to do is start my investing shtick. Need my monays because monetary/financial freedom means you get a choice. It's really all I ask for.

I guess I should get to reading.

Also,

Evidently, if I am super grumpy and disagreeable, one of three things can be done to rectify this:
1. Feed me food for I am hangry.
2. Let me sleep because I will cut you.
3. I need alone time. Me time. Pyjama time. Leave me be to my own devices until I see fit to resume socialisation.

Thursday, May 28, 2015

Hello, hello, hello, internetizens!

I know it's been x amount of time since I wrote but things have moved along quite nicely.

I've turned 28 mid last April, did some jobs, rested a bit (Wished I could rest a bit more) and now I have a job! YEAY TO NO LONGER BEING UNEMPLOYED!

Also, Aubergé, Meersy and my company is now open for freelance business of various types! Predominantly Events and Interior Design.

Now, random facts time. Today is International Towel Day! It's a shame I was having a day in though.

...

A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-bogglingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you — daft as a brush, but very very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.

More importantly, a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag (strag: non-hitch hiker) discovers that a hitchhiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, face flannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitch hiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitch hiker might accidentally have "lost." What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with.

Hence a phrase that has passed into hitchhiking slang, as in "Hey, you sass that hoopy Ford Prefect? There's a frood who really knows where his towel is." (Sass: know, be aware of, meet, have sex with; hoopy: really together guy; frood: really amazingly together guy.)

—Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I know I haven't been posting much but life happens. Life being going out and seeing people and... eating.

Aside from that.... I read. A LOT. Not just books but self-helpy type articles on the interwebs and I keep the good ones for future references.

Here's one that I find absolutely golden.

Take backs:
- A list of 10 things I'm absolutely afraid of.
- MUSTS are non negotiable, but they are very easy to lose sight of so you always have to reel yourself back in and reassess your life.
- Don't be an entitled lazy prick.

All of these I want to do with Meersy and Ash, a sort of "Sit down and let's talk about life," kind of thing. It's great bonding tools, truly.

On a more pressing note, RAMPS, MALAYSIA (specifically, Kuala Lumpur)!!! Not a difficult thing to have and it also means people with physical disabilities can get into places! Inclusivity, yo.

Portfolio!

Hello, hello, hello!!!

It's the 1st of April, I turn 28 in 15 days. Excited and... Well, really just excited.

Also finally finished a portfolio I'm kind of proud of. I could tweak some stuff but really, it's pretty good so I'm just going to embed it here...

And on this blog for anyone to have a look see... Because it's so pretty...

Adieu, Adieu, Auf Wiedersehen

Last catch ups with my peoples over dinner and away I go on a plane.

In the immortal words of Arnold... AHL BE BAHK!

DAY 29 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-2D)

A song from my childhood?

Bob Marley I Shot The Sheriff my dad used to play Bob Marley albums when he sent me to school when I was 6. I went to classes singing this song... While everyone else was running around being a bunch of idiots. Good times.

The most impressive piece of music I've ever heard?

Naturally, Thus Spake Zarathustra.

Kidding. I actually think it's the Imperial March but since it's been linked to already I'm going to have to go with Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.

It's Gonna Be Hot

Last day of February. Too fast, four years came and went and now I start a March to the land I call home. The city that has my heart.

A city that refuses to sleep.

A city that... is going to be hot as hell for a while because we're on the equator and fuck you, that's why!

I sit here at Streat for the last time in a long time (unless and until someone decides to franchise it in KL) eating some muesli. I feel like a cow as I continuously grind the bits of oat and nuts between my teeth. Waiting for the next bite. I'm awake early which is a bit unfortunate given I'd rather be rolling in bed, with my blanket, dead asleep. I'm waiting for the cleaners to be done with the work so I can get to the rest of the to-do list which is... not extensive, just tedious.

I can't wait to go home and do nothing.

DAY 28 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-3D)

A song that makes me feel guilty?

Guilt inducing songs... guiiiiiiiiilt... ummm... I don't have one.

The last song I want to hear before I die?

This is a very good question and it assumes I would know to play it on my last breath...
If I had a choice in this matter... And there was someone to A) sing the piece or B) have a stereo system ready because apparently my death needs a backtrack...

In the right context... At the very end as I close my eyes... Killer Queen.

Cat On A Plane

Mr. Kitty has gone to the boarding place to wait for his flight. :( I hope the poor widdle puddytat is doing okay. He's gonna be touching down in KL a day after me.

In other news, moved in to the flat with my parents while waiting to go home, 1/20 is no longer. It's cool. Galhalla: Part Deux will manifest itself in due time. Or maybe I'll come up with a better name.

DAY 27 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-4D)

A song that I wish I could play?

Buckethead Pepper's Ghost. Fast and slow and fast and slow... C'epst complicate!

My favourite song by someone who isn't alive?

There's so many pieces of music I love from people who are dead but this one popped into my head first so here it is

Soundwave Day 2

Soundwave Day 2:

Watch: Ne Oblivescaris, Fear Factory, Incubus, Soundgarden, Faith No More
Maybe if I get sick of FNM's set: Lamb Of God

DAY 22 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-9D)

Ehmmmmm... Vulfpeck's Outro hahahahaha or anything that sounds upbeat. Possibly even binge listen to Big Band Jazz.

A song you wish was played every time I entered a room?

Mahler does this bit between 17:36 and 18:30. The 'I-own-everything' intro. :D
But aside from that, this is a fantastic symphony. My current favourite, actually.

Saturday, February 21, 2015

Soundwave Day 1

Soundwave Day 1:

Watch: Apocalyptica, Godsmack, Papa Roach, Marilyn Manson and Judas Priest.
If I feel like it: The Smashing Pumpkins.

Aftermath:

Arrived halfway into Apocalytica's pretty awesome set. Mind you, I was feeling really horrible because my uterus hates me. Well, it doesn't hate me but it is doing its job and it hurts. -____-

Anyway, Apocalytica was a decent start to Soundwave given a few dudes who sound like Count Count were playing their cellos and singing on stage. LOVED. IT. Loved it even more when they ended their set with Hall Of The Mountain King which is one of my most favourite new-classical pieces.

Moving on to Everyone else except for Marilyn Manson, Big meh. MM on the other hand, BLEW THE STAGE WIDE OPEN! And I snuck past the front barriers as usual and got sprayed with water -- along with everyone else because it was a hot day and they didn't want us passing out. Essentially I made the annoyed wet cat face because my gadgets were being splashed on. Thanks, water-splashey dude.

Judas Priest, after 40 years of being in the metal business... You can tell la he's losing his pitch perfection but holy cow can he still go high. Jesus christ... I mean, Judas the betrayer!

And I did stay for The Smashing Pumpkin's set. They ended with a fantastic instrumental which I have no idea what it is because I'm not really a fan but if they had an overture, that would've been it.

And now, upload photos, charge up all my electronics, moisturise, rehydrate and sleep. The question I have plaguing me right now is whether I should skip Ne Oblivescaris and rock up in time for Fear Factory? Or. Go for Ne Oblivescaris and Stay at stage 4 with some food and drink and just enjoy basking in the moment. Decisions, decisions....

DAY 21 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-10D)

A song that I listen to when I'm happy?

Shake Your Tail Feather by the Blues Brothers! And everything that makes we wanna dance around hahahahaha...

Favorite a Capella version of a song?

Ngehahahahahahaha... Bob Marley's Could You Be Loved.
Well? Could you?

DAY 20 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-11D)

A song that I listen to when I'm angry?

The Agonist's Thank You Pain sits very well with me when I'm angry, but then lots of very fast, very heavy music sits well with me in dissipating my anger. Truly.

My favorite song from an under-appreciated artist.

I doubt she was really under-appreciated when I was a kid but she damn well is now. Here's Lauryn Hill playing Just Like The Water, live.

The L's

Learn. Love. Live.

People talk about life like it's a series of steps just to make living bearable... And then you die.

What is life without the need to learn about everything?
What us life without the need to explore your inherent love for anything and everything?
What is life without living to your fullest potential?
What is life without trying to achieve your ultimate ideals?

You only live for yourself.
You only exist to make yourself happy and with that, be a beacon of strength to others. Someone people can trust. Someone they can gain positivity from. Someone real.

I've slowly come to understand this fact. Everything in life you do has a cause and effect. Let that cause be a prompt and the effect be unbound growth.

Live.

DAY 18 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-13D)

A song that I wish I heard on the radio?

Monster Magnet Space Lord. That said... the video is horrible and hilarious. Hello, 90s! I'm not sure if I've missed you, Corny bugger.

My favourite song that is entirely instrumental?

Man, this is a toughy. Cliffs Of Dover by Eric Johnson, perhaps? It is a delightfully beautiful song.

Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Eugh Cold Days

TWO. WEEKS. MORE.

Fak.

DAY 17 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-14D)

A song that I hear often on the radio?

I don't listen to the radio....... Really. I guess the closest bet would be what's the most played song on my playlist? Yes? Well, in that case it's Mumbo Jumbo's 2012 Pancake Mix.

My favorite song that’s over 50 years old?

Hall Of The Mountain King. It's actually 148 years old this year!
It also probably gives me anxiety because it's just so... hectic.

Kale Chips

When I said I was going to eat ALL the seafood, I wasn't kidding. South Melbourne Market, man.
Freshly shucked oysters, came home with salmon, barramundi and squid.

And kale. So much kale. I have to make kale chips.
But before I actually make kale chips I actually have to find a legitimate recipe or ten and study them. And then come up with my own version.

DAY 16 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-15D)

A song that I used to love but now hate

Dope You Spin Me, because there's so many versions of it... and because of that last version of it with Flo Rida. Fail eughhh... So much nope.

The best road trip song

2 and a half men's theme. and possibly every Queen song known to man.
*kring-kring kring-kring*

DAY 15 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-16D)

I'm a cat. :3

A cover song that is vastly superior to the original.

Jamie Cullum's version of Please Don't Stop The Music is vastly SUPERIOR

More Packing

Today is for almost finishing the labelling of all my boxes, half my laundry and just bumming around enjoying my day in.

That said, it's amazing to still find out things about your lineage when you trawl the internets. In my bid to be the common man... Perhaps that was long ago decided to be a fool's errand.

DAY 14 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-17D)

A song that no one would expect me to love?

Metric's Give Me Sympathy. Come on, it's catchy and dancey!

A song I'd blast with the windows rolled down?

4'33 by John Cage
Come on, guys. You know I'm not one to call attention to myself. Lagi la dalam kereta. Ish.
Here's a blast of culture for you philistines.

Friday, February 13, 2015

Oh, Mornings

I woke up too early... WAAAAYYYY too early and now I'm sleepy again.
But I'm also hungry.
Come next week, I'll be so so broke...

DAY 13 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-18D)

A song that is a guilty pleasure?

Joe Cocker's Leave Your Hat On is... EHEHEHEHEHEHE...
I think I had a conversation with Phuong about how if I were to try dancing to this... Fail mermaid would happen. Or just nonsexy flailing. hahahahahaha...

A song that I think reminds my friends of me?

The only line that applies in this entire song would be "They see me rollin', dey hatin'..." because I actually really find this song quite irritating.

Thursday, February 12, 2015

Don't Judge

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ

"Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has gone astray from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided." -Surah Al-Qalam:7

أَلَيْسَ اللَّـهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ

"Is not Allah the most just of judges?" -Surah At-Tin:8

Use these to combat Muslims who are extra judgey on you. They can't fight back because they're pretty stupid. Hahaha...

I'm serious.

Then you wink and tell them you'll see them in hell.

DAY 12 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-19D)

A song from a band I hate?

Eghhhhhhhhhhh... Whyyyyyyyy... Okay, okay. At the very best of the very worst... Creed's Bullets.

My all time favorite TV theme song?

Eek The Cat's theme song. Hands down.

Wood Chucker

"How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Well, to measure the amount, the chucker had to count, which only a human could. Well if the counter couldn't chuck and the chucker couldn't count then there is nothing each other could say. The only conclusion and the single solution is that chucking wood is gay."

This literally made me giggle outloud.

DAY 9 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-22D)

A song that I can dance to

Jamiroquai Deeper Underground. Because... Godzilla.

A song that reminds me of high school

Mostly because I'm pretty sure I waaaay overplayed this song.
Incubus Warning

See Ya Later, Gator.

It's a bit odd to be going to a farewell thingo... when you'll likely see the person again in less than a month.

DAY 8 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-23D)

A song that I know all the words to?

For obvious reasons... Daft Punk's Around The World...
hahahaha... Also I USED to be able to rap to Bone Thugs 'N' Harmony's 7Sign. But that was a long time ago in a land far away.

A song that reminds me of middle school?

Lulz. Aside from many a Fatboy Slims tracks, there was Where's Your Head At by Basement Jaxx. The Monkeys creeped me out.

A Day At Home

It's always nice to take a breather pajama day at home after going out EVERY. FRIKKIN. DAY.
Me time is always nice.

DAY 7 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-24D)

A song that reminds me of a certain event?

Jump Around by House Of Pain reminds me so so many events. The most prominent one being Zi's 18th birthday at Jalan U-Thant. Good times.

A song to which I listen to get pumped up...

Easy. Star Wars Imperial March. Duh.

Let's Scare The Tourists

Today, we away to Phillip Island for some meandering! That is all.

DAY 6 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-25D)

A song that reminds me of somewhere?

This song reminds me of the summer in Villars where my apartment overlooked club med (Because apparently Switzerland is in the Mediterranean). They replayed this a solid... 85% of my waking hours. -___-

A song that changed everything?

Ride of the Valkyries from Die Walküre... Come on! How can it not?? You can play this song anywhere, automatic win!

So Angers, Man.

There is nothing today except the lingering rage from yesterday. Of mostly hissy fits. About my beloved country and the people I wish didn't waste my oxygen. My. Oxygen.

Mine.

DAY 5 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-26D)

A song that reminds me of someone?

This song, which I'm sure all of you know (and if you don't... we're not friends.), reminds me of Neens (SHOUTOUT, HEYYYYAAAAA) Because she is probably the biggest Queen nerd I know and quite a fantastic personality. She's in NY kicking ass right now.

A song that reminds me of my first relationship?

Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 Honest to God. Also, it looks like day 5 is on a rhapsody tangent! It was an off time in my life, being 18, chasing boys. Fun times.

Anyway, let's not revel in the silly things done by a child. Enjoy Valentina Lisitsa's version of HP#2

Tuna All The Way

What's today? Oh, yes. Eating down the fridge for real. That means the absolute bare minimum to be cooked. Leftovers to be completely demolished. Lots and lots of... Tuna?

To be honest, I have no idea what to do with the tuna. There's tuna steaks with a medley of vegetables. Tuna ceviche which seems to be an in thing right now. Uhmmm... Tuna mornay in a puff pastry shell? Tuna crumbed in herbs and pan fried served with boiled potatoes. Tuna baked in garlic, onion and ginger eaten with rice and budu. I'm probably going to be REALLY sick of tuna by the end of this week. I have so much tuna.

DAY 4 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-27D)

A song that makes me sad?

Or rather it makes me feel incredibly melancholic but not enough to reduce me to tears. It does get me thinking about the people I do really miss. One of those people being my late grandfather on my father's side. Datuk. Your number one cucu misses you.

Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here

Best song I've ever seen live?

Okay, so I haven't actually seen this LIVE per se but it is the best live sessions recording I've ever heard. Even better than the album version. I can't find the live recording that I did hear so here's the album version. It's about a moderately sized black, hairy... spider.  Which died. In the end. All the sadness. Poor spidey.

Diving Fiascos

If ever I decided to make a satirical Guide to Me, titled "Guide To The Care And Maintenance Of Your Sha", Chapter five will have to be on Diving.

There's a bit of a schtick when you're in love with the ocean but you're weaker than a really weak guy (No offence to weak guys) because diving most of the time involves shimmying into a caccon of a second skin, designed to make you feel like you're about to suffocate.

AND You're carrying several tens of kilos worth of gear.

AND You have to resign yourself to depending on another person.

DAY 3 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-28D)

What is a song that makes me happy?

Merv Griffin's Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts

A song from the most embarrassing album I own?

Ehhhhhhh... quite possibly Weezer - Beverly Hills

I Dislike Wetsuits Immensely.

I guess it's only fitting I complain about wetsuits today. Because a week ago I had to wear one after so many years of being able to avoid it. I hate putting on and moving around in wetsuits. I can't put it on without assistance, I can't move, I'm more buoyant than a safety flotation device, i.e.: Floaties.

I grumble loudly. Cold Water diving, thou art a poor mistress.

I should probably start amassing my own set of dive gear.

DAY 2 OF THE 30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE! (a.k.a T-29D)

What's my LEAST favourite song?
I have a lot of least favourite songs. I'd rather not get into it. These songs aren't even worth mentioning.

Give a song from your most recent album purchase.
I'm pretty sure the last album I'd bought was Soundgarden's King Animal... And the best song on that album is (re-listens to the entire album to make a verdict -- Hey. nobody said picking music was easy)

Halfway There. Here's the acoustic version.

YESSS IT'S MY LAST MONTH HERE IN MELBOURNE.

On one hand, I'm sad to leave all the amazing people I've made friends with over the four years I've been here *cue tiny violin music*... But on the other hand, no more cold! Life goes on!!! Also I get to come home to the warm embrace of... my... ehm... All the food.

ALL.
THE.
FOOD.

And all the usual suspects I love and trust with my life. What can I say, I'm a sucker when it comes to my people.

As a countdown, I thought it fitting to finally do the 30 Day Song Challenge (Double Trouble). Because it's literally 30 days before I touch down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- Land of the ... Home of the... I got nothing...

Here it goes! DAY ONE. (a.k.a T-30D)

What is... My favourite song?
That's an easy one.

Bobby McFerrin's Don't Worry, Be Happy.

What is a song from the first album I've ever purchased?
I have to admit, I didn't really buy Queen's Greatest Hits when I was 6. My father did.
BUT
It was (still is) the best album/compilation ever.

Queen's We Will Rock You

Happy new year, ladies and gentlemen of the internets!
It's 2015, one more year to get more things started and/or finish some old projects. On with it now.

I do this every year, sometime in the beginning, check my personality type to see if I have wavered. Thankfully, it's been the same for the past 7 years now and it makes me wonder if, when I was a child, I were the same. You can't just fall into being an ENTJ can you? Or are we just born flippant, domineering and attracted to power?

Scarily accurate information on how I think... Karl Jung, clearly you are terrifying.
http://www.16personalities.com/entj-personality

"Anyone ENTJs view as being less competent or driven will see only condescension and arrogance."

"... they also have a particular skill in calling out others' failures with a chilling degree of insensitivity."

"... ENTJ personalities keep their eyes on the long term, and if they determine that a relationship is heading towards a dead end, they will cut their losses and move on in what will seem to their partner an abrupt end to the attention they had been receiving."

"ENTJs are extremely growth-oriented, and will seize any opportunity to improve themselves, listening to and acting on criticisms, so long as they are logical ones, and always striving to improve their knowledge."

"... they pursue their friends, seek out individuals who share their passion for deep, meaningful discussions, and who enjoy learning and development as much as they do. It is not always easy to be ENTJs' friends - they demand a lot from these relationships..."

"It's not easy to stand up to a personality as big and blustery as ENTJs', and they too often find that others crumple under the force they apply when they really start to enjoy themselves."

"... failure is not an option."

"In a partnership, what is best is what is most effective, and time wasted sugarcoating reality is just that - time wasted."

"able to adapt themselves to just about any hierarchical relationship by doing what they do best: asserting their opinions, taking the initiative, and accomplishing feats that others thought impossible."

Put into perspective, if I didn't have SMA I'd be the biggest, baddest, unyieldingest asshole. hahahahaha... This disability makes me slightly less of an asshole.

Slightly je.
